STUDY OF THE FILM FORMATION OF SCHIFF BASE METALLIC COMPLEXES

Abstract

The advancement in the field of molecular nanotechnology is intrinsically related to the development of methods for obtaining molecularly organized materials, which should provide new properties that make them useful for the preparation of molecular devices with electrochemical and catalytic activities. This research project proposes to investigate the electrochemical behavior of the polymer films of metal complexes derived from the Schiff base and the study of applicability as chemical sensor (optical and electrochemical) in determination of species of interest. Morphological characterization and electrochemical properties of poly-metal-schiff nanoscale will be the main focus of study for a better understanding of the formation and structural rearrangement of the polymer film on the electrode surface process.
