Abstract

The Institutional application of research resources was approved at the extra meeting of the Center of Biological and Health Council (CoC/CCBS) held on 07.19.2016. After extensive discussion, the CoC/CCBS approved the proposed plan, and also agreed on its application to FAPESP. The coordination and management of this Allocation Plan was awarded to Professor Hugo Miguel Preto de Morais Sarmento, PhD, from the Department of Hydrobiology. Considering the particulars that make up the academic structure, research and assistance of the areas involved in this plan (Biological and Health), the allocation plan has been designed to meet the research needs and particularities identified from three main cornerstones: 1) Common infrastructure; 2) Biological infrastructure; 3) Health infrastructure. The CoC/CCBS considered that the FAPESP institutional resources should be primarily invested in the improvement and development of the structural conditions and logistics for scientific research, respecting both diversity and specificity of the areas integrating the center.
