Abstract

This project intends to provide an empirical basis for comparative studies at national level about HRM activities in Brazil based on the literature on Strategic Human Resources Management under the institutional approach. His emphasis is on crisis faced by the labor market after 2014, the expansion of the geographical basis of the research and use of elements of the institutional approach for analysis. This proposal is based on the previous FAPESP Project (2013 / 26673-1).Its main objective is to identify, characterize and analyze how companies are considering the dimensions of the labor market in their strategies and configuration of HRM models practiced in Brazil from a study in capitals chosen from three country regions since 2000 (Cities: Cuiabá, Manaus, Belém e Recife). In methodological terms it is used a qualitative approach with literature review, expert panels and focus groups with HR managers.Among the results, it is expected a more comprehensive view of how HRM operates in Brazil studying less researched areas and to enable comparisons between Brazil and other countries. It is also expected to identify gaps in knowledge at HR areas and professionals on labor market and labor relations as related institutions. Among the expected contributions are: use of the institutional approach to enable comparative research on the national level mainly observing labor relations such as spheres and under the influence of HR areas in the country.
