Analytic system oriented to logistics operations efficiency using a DEA georeferenced modeling


This innovative technological research project have as goal implement a system which through an algorithm that make it viable the use of a DEA(Data Envelopment Analisys) with georeferenced inputs and outputs, allowing the development of a corporate tool in a cloud computing environment to run logistics operations analytics. Proving the viability of this proposal can lead us to open the perspective of a software product, which can be distributed and commercialized as a service, helping to define the better relations in operations between geographic variables and cost and rentability variables. The proposed system sees to complement the range of available solutions in the market, most of them have a focus in planning and tracking in real time, letting aside analytical functions. These functions can answer some of the typical questions of the daily basis of a manager: How many more jobs a field team/vehicle must do in order to increase efficiency? What is the rate o cost reduction which will make transport operations more efficient? What is the efficiency of the planning and routing method on the company? Through this research project it will be developed a system using DEA, with the best computational performance in the cloud with big georeferenced data. (AU)
