Abstract

his multidisciplinary project has different universities and fields of expertise to analyze the impact of the relationship between animal health, quality of life and sustainability of dairy production on the territorial development in rural settlements in Pontal do Paranapanema region. Eight settlements will be studied: Porto Maria (Rosana), Padre Josimo (Teodoro Sampaio), Santa Rosa (Euclides da Cunha), Asa Branca (Mirante do Paranapanema), São Paulo (Presidente Epitácio), Yapinari (Presidente Venceslau), Quatro Irmãs (Presidente Bernardes) e Santa Rosa 1(Mirante do Paranapanema). The research universe comprises a total of 181 properties proportionally distributed in the region, samples will be collected from four animals from each batch, totaling 724 animals. Meanwhile, a quantitative and qualitative research tool will be applied in the field to investigate living conditions of settled peasants, focusing on the analysis of territorial development, especially targeting economic, social, environmental sustainability and quality of life. Finally, it will be presented a diagnosis of milk production in Pontal do Paranapanema, as well as a methodological tool, materialized in an analytical questionnaire adapted to the reality of the peasants seated in Pontal do Paranapanema.
