Abstract
The intensive production systems generally increases the infeccious deseases outbreaks that cause damages for aquaculture. The Streptococcus agalactiae is been considered an example of pathogenic bacteria with major occurrence and economic importance in fish farming. Therefore, this project aimed to evaluate the imulogical parameters and survivel of Nile tilapia fed with diet that contains probiotic and vaccined against S. agalactiae; submited to challenges related to experimental infection. The experiment will be conducted at APTA/SAA - Pólo Centro Leste - Pirassununga UPD. The experimental design will be in completely randomized, in factorial scheme: 2x2+2 controls group, corresponding to six treatments (with or without probiotic inclusion in diet, with or without vaccination, with or without vaccine booster injection). The experiment will be divided in three phases: 1°) in vitro bacteria inibition test; 2°) Nile tilapia anti IgM development; 3°) infection chalenge with S. agalactiae. For imunological response evaluation, following analysis will be done: lisozyme assays, immunoglobuline detection by serum agglutination and ELISA methods. The results will be submited to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey's test (p<0.05). Keywords: infection, imunization, booster, Streptococcus agalactiae. (AU)
