Abstract

In this research project we will study the cosmic background radiation polarization by the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect in galaxy clusters. We have two goals: first, we will reconstruct, at least in theory, the tridimensional spectrum of the cosmological perturbations from the background radiation polarization in clusters; second, we will study the temporal evolution of the background radiation quadrupole through the analysis of the polarization in clusters in various redshifts. We want to find out up to what point would be possible to reduce the cosmic variance on background radiation low multipoles, and how accurate can we estimate the Integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect using these data.
