This work deals with the numerical and experimental investigation of the structural behavior of laminated composite panels subjected to in-plane shear loads.The objective is to develop a test device for laminated panels subjected to shear loads, experimentally characterize the out of plane displacement field in post-buckling using non-contact optical devices (topogrammetry) and correlate the obtained values to a proposed numerical model for calibration and validation.In the experimental part, a test procedure will be proposed to obtain reliable and reproducible results. The following parameters will be established: geometry, material and stacking sequence of the specimens, test mechanisms, data acquisition procedures and analysis procedures for test data.In the numerical part, a series of models will be implemented to capture the buckling modes and post-buckling loads. The models will be implemented using commercial package Abaqus Standard.
