Abstract

We intend to study the effect of additions of 4, 6, 8 and 10wt.%Ag on the reverse martensitic transformation kinetics of the Cu-11wt.%Al alloy, using optical (OM) and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX)and microhardness measurements with temperature and time. The results obtained for alloys with Ag additions will be compared with those obtained for the Cu-11wt.%Al.
