Abstract This project aims at a comparative analysis of the works "Parque Industrial" (1933), by Patricia Galvão and "A Famosa Revista" (1945), written both by Pagu Geraldo Ferraz. Within the context of discussions about the relationship between commitment and aesthetic experiment, conducted at the time, this analysis will identify whether there is cohesion between the artistic conceptions presented by the writer in her two fictional novels. This project will use bibliography concerning the context of Modernism, and the discussions on "engaged art" in the landmarks of Marxist thought. An important source for understanding Pagu s political and intellectual militancy and her literary production is the autobiography "Paixão Pagu: a autobiografia precoce de Patrícia Galvão" (2005). | |
