Abstract

This study aims to unveil the elaborated sarcasm, by using parody, found in various "female voices", which occur in some of the texts from "Contos de Amor Rasgados", belonging to the short story genre. Marina Colasanti, a much renowned writer among children's literature readers, shows us an ennobled mockery through the (re)creation of texts and classic characters attached to the male authorship, which were employed by that writer as a way to "improve" such intertexts and "unchain the voices of those several 'female speeches' ". Considering the importance of this analysis to the academic researches and also taking into account that Colasanti´s skillful writings still have not been properly highlighted in the scientific field, this academic work intends to spotlight sarcasm in the development of parodies from microfictions, according to the deconstruction of feminine paradigms, such as the "tied" women, the subservient ones, blanked out before their husbands; and all of these archetypes were conceived by the phallocentric patriarchic alterity much more before the first feminist steps in the nineteenth century. In order to accomplish our goals, we will be based on Linda Hutcheon´s work about parody, "A Theory of Parody"; on concepts concerned to the Menippean satire, studied by Mikhail Bakhtin, as well as on the analysis referred to the short story genre (supported by Julio Cortázar, Gerárd Genette and Vladimir Popp), in which we will dedicate a special attention to the flash fictions.
