Abstract

In this work the synthesis of polymeric nanocomposites using HDL by in situ polymerization in miniemulsion will be investigated. Different kinds of clays will be used, in different concentration and compositions, in order to provide polymers with some desired properties. Properties of the nanocomposites will be analysed using several pieces of equipment, such as DSC, MEV, RAMAN, FTIR, etc. This present project is part of a bigger project, in which a pos-doctor fellow (FAPESP - 2008/57768-0) is also working. In this bigger project, it will also be studied emulsion polymerization and the use of HLS, besides HDL. (AU)
