Abstract

Lignans e neolignans have attracted much interest over the years on account of their broad range of biological activities. Previous biological activities showed that tetrahydrofuran and dibenzylbutirolactone lignans possess in vitro and in vivo antischistossomial activities. Then, the aims of this project are: to obtain the dihydrobenzofuran lignans and neolignans 1a-1b, 2a-2b and 3a-3b, as well as to evaluate the in vitro antischistossomial and leishmanicidal activities of these synthesized compounds. These compounds will be obtained by in vitro oxidative coupling using different phenylpropanoids. After synthesized, these compounds will be purified using several techniques, including chromatographic methods, and identified by spectroscopic analysis (p. ex. RMN 1H and 13C). All obtained compounds will be evaluted in the in vitro antischistossomial and leishmanicidal assays. (AU)
