Abstract

SummaryThe study of hydrographic basin, through systemic analysis, associated with possible anthropogenic changes, has been the research field to Geomorphology. In this work, the dynamic equilibrium of the basin and its conditions, are considered at geosystem basis and evaluated from the morphometric analysis, using indices such as hydrographic density (Dh) and drainage density (Dd) to characterize the hydrographic basin into two distinct periods: before (1962 and 1980) and later (2010) the formation of the lake of the Hydroelectric Power Station Engineer Sérgio Motta, noting differences in the formation of the drainage network of first order in two different contexts.The analysis and interpretation of spatial organization of the drainage network of first order in both periods will be perceive by sampling circular, resulting in the production of thematic maps, tables and graphs. The general basin characterization will be made through the historical land use and occupation of land.
