Abstract

Since the first publishings on XIX centrury, in France, the fantastic literature, as it was named by the critical, promotes, on its controversy, deep questions. The joints which caracterize the fantastic on the narrative lead to dissensions, for a common point on the constitution and substrate of this literature, formulated by theoretical and critics. Thus, we are going to do a selection of fundamental characters present in the fantastic literature which are discussed by Todorov, Bessière, Bráulio Tavares, Ítalo Calvino and Jorge Schwartz, despite the discrepancies, based on the supernatural and verisimilar aspects. Furthermore, the fantastic includes others processes, present on its literature which have not been studied enough by the critic of XX century, neither by nowadays critic, as the presence of the irony strongly repeated on this literature. Therefore, the project in question intend to verify the chracteristics that the fantastic could present made one with the ironic object. Given the propositions, we will verify the objectives of the research project on four tales of Murilo Rubião O ex-mágico da taberna minhota, Bárbara."Teleco, o coelhinho e O homem do boné cinzento.
