Questions about the interactions among soil, plant and animal, need to solved, so, the project aims to measure the effect of grazing intensities (15, 25 and 35 cm) and the use of supplementation, on the structure of pasture, biomass yield, non-structural carbohydrates, nitrogen fractions of .on bud, fractionation of soil organic matter in pastures of Brachiaria brizantha (Hochst ex. A. Rich.) Cv. Marandu. Also It will be quantified CO2 emission and decomposition of litter in Marandu grass at conditions of Jaboticabal, SP. The field evaluations will be conducted from October 2010 to October 2011 and laboratory evaluations will be conducted from November 2011 to November 2012. The experiment will be conducted in pastures of marandu-grass of the Setor de forragicultura of FCVA/UNESP in area established about seven years . The experiment will be conducted in a completely randomized design with two replications. The treatments correspond to the rainy season grazing heights (15, 25 and 35 cm) and two levels of supplementation (with and without supplement), in a 3x2 factorial scheme. Thus, the present experiment 12 experimental units (3 heights 2 supplementation x 2 repetitions) in the rainy season, and in dry season, the same 12 plots will be used, but with less capacity.
