Abstract

This project mainly aims at the fabrication of ordered magnetic nanostructures (nanocrystals, nanowires, thin films and antidots) Bismuth Ferrite, BFO, using as template precursor Anodized Alumina Membrane (NMAA), and its subsequent structural, magnetic and electric. For this, first, it is intended to manufacture the BFO nanocrystals via chemical synthesis and NMAA through the double anodizing process. Subsequently, the NMAA be used as molds to manufacture other nanostructures i) nanowires by chemical synthesis NMAA of the pores and ii) antidots systems by deposition on the surface of BFO NMAA. In parallel, will also be manufactured by deposition of thin films on substrates BFO predefined.The next phase of the project is the systematic characterization, both structural and magnetic and electric nanostructures obtained in order to understand and quantify the magnetization processes and effects of scale from these materials.In this sense, the project aims to add and extend the current study developed by the Group of Amorphous and Nanocrystalline Materials Laboratory of Materials and Low Temperatures, Institute of Physics Gleb Wataghin State University of Campinas, contributing to the formation of a new line of research .
