Eumeninae represent the largest subfamily of Vespidae with more than 3000 species and 200 genres described. Historically, the generic classification has been treated as "chaotic" due to the enormous morphological diversity presented by their representatives. This project aims to revise taxonomically genres Pachymenes de Saussure and Santamenes Giordani Soika, including descriptions of new taxa that may get discovered, provide maps of distribution and a catalogue of species of the genera. In addition, phylogenetic relations will be investigated within groups throught cladystics analyses, employing morphological characters in order to prove whether or not the monophyletism of two genres.
