Abstract

This project will examine the Authorization for Use of Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002, aiming to see how this resolution has been seen in the debate on separation of powers and U.S. foreign policy in the post-September 11. Since the events of September 11 considered a milestone for American foreign policy, the research will examine to what extent such changes, continuities and ruptures were present at this resolution. For this, the research will study the analyses produced from 2002 which promote reflection on the Iraq Resolution 2002 and its contribution to understanding the situation of the relationship of Congress from 2001 to 2010 with the presidents of the United States.
