Abstract

The periodontal tissue regeneration is a condition extremely desired in dentistry. However the therapeutic technique used until this moment can not satisfy completely this aim. The application of tissue engineering in periodontal regeneration has been appered as a promissory tool in periodontology. The objectives of this study are: synthesize, characterize and evaluate the efficacy of different scaffolds, made with poly (L-lactide) and poly(isosorbide succinate), associated to hydroxyapatite, collagen, bone morphogenetic protein- 2 and/or plaque derived growth factor, in the adhesion and proliferation of several cells types like: fibroblasts, osteoblasts, adipocytes, and dental pulp steam cell. It also aims to evaluate the in vivo regenerative capacity of the material. The scaffolds will be made by electrospinning and their structural morphological and mechanical properties will be characterized. The adhesion capacity will be evaluated by scan electronic microscopy and MTT test. In vivo study will be developed with the material with better performance in vitro and it will consist in to induce bone fenestration on vestibular roots of rats' lower second molar. The tissue regeneration will be measured by histomorphometric test 28 days after the surgery. According normality and homocedastic test, data will be submitted to one-way ANOVA and Tukey test (±=0.05).
