The purpose of this study is to describe educational situation of children and adolescents with autistic spectrum disorders in São Paulo. Specifically, the research proposes to determine what are the skills and difficulties identified by the teachers and the reality of autistic children's educational inclusion as reported by their families. The participants of this study will be: fifty caregivers (parents or grand- parents) of children with autistic spectrum disorders and fifty teachers working in mainstream and special schools for autistic children. The procedures will include the application of two questionnaires: one for caregivers and one for teachers. The data will receive qualitative and quantitative analysis, with the use of appropriate statistical methods.
