Abstract

In this project we intend to investigate the influence of temperature and time of steels with medium carbon content in bainitic transformation temperature, between the field of training and matensitic and perlitic and correlate the variations of thermal processing the volume fraction final phases, the tensile mechanical properties of the material. The counting phase bainitic ferritic, martensitic, and the retained austenite will be accomplished using techniques specific metallographic characterization, by using different chemical reagents, such as Nital, sodium metabisulfite, Lepera, aiming at the visualization and identification of each of the phases.
