Abstract The organization of the bivalves in general has always been very confusing and when it comes to oysters, the intraspecific variation further complicates the identification of the different species that occur in all oceans. Analysis morphological, anatomical, molecular and currently are being widely used both to check their blood relations or to solve the problems of identifying the group. The Ostreidae in particular, have an aggravating, because of its phenotypic plasticity and wide distribution of species. This is the scenario that fits this bill, which aims to provide a taxonomic revision involving a detailed anatomical study of species of Subfamily Crassostreinae. Moreover, it is proposed a phylogenetic hypothesis based on cladistic methodology to the genus and relate it to other groups of Ostreidae. For this analysis, data will be included morpho-anatomical and molecular. This study shows it is relevant, in front of phenotypic plasticity of Crassotreinae and absence of a taxonomic revision to their main genre, Crassotrea. The relationship between Crassostreinae and other groups Ostreidae also proves important, since there is no phylogenetic hypothesis published data involving morpho-anatomical and molecular level for this divergence.
