Abstract

The safety of surgical care has emerged as a global problem of public health. The perioperative nursing comprehend the planning and implementation of patient care in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative experience surgical and other invasive procedures with the use of nursing process to organize nursing care. The surgical recovery process is dynamic and prolonged and may be influenced by different factors, which affect the patient's recovery toward positive or negative ways. Adverse events in postoperative affect about 78-86% of the patients, and the alterations in the surgical wound is a major complication. The overall aim of the study is to analyze the concept of "delayed surgical recovery." To this end, we chose Rodgers's model of concept analysis, to support the conduct of this study and integrative review to achieve the second activity of the model. In the conduct of the integrative review, the search for primary studies occurred in the databases LILACS, CINAHL, PUBMED and EMBASE with the use of controlled and uncontrolled descriptors delimited according to the specificity of each database. In the search strategy adopted, the controlled and uncontrolled descriptors were combined in different ways to ensure a broad search. Thus, we identified 1155 primary studies potentially eligible, of which 103 were secondary study, 809 did not address the criteria selection delimited, and 150 references were duplicated. The initial sample of the integrative review consists of 93 potentially relevant studies, which will be read in its entirety. The data extraction of included studies will be performed using the instrument developed, which we underwent face and content validation. The synthesis of the results shown will be held in a descriptive way, allowing the construction of the other activities proposed in the Rodgers's method of conceptual analysis. (AU)
