Abstract

In the current phase of market, the changes occur frequently, in function on technological advances, intensified competition, greater consumer demand and the growing scarcity of natural resources. These causes, make to companies to seek continuous improvements in the way we manage and operate their businesses in order to stay alive. To overcome these obstacles and see them as opportunities, companies seek some tools, policies and guidelines for the management, operation and production. Some of them are effective for this purpose, such as quality management guided and certified by ISO 9001 and innovation systems. With its development and adoption is assumed that enterprises become more competitive, innovating and improving the quality of its products, services, processes and environment.Considering the quality management systems ISO 9001 and innovation systems are important for maximizing business results, it is interesting to conduct a study to verify the relationship of influence between them. Because of this, through a qualitative research based on multiple case studies on firms in the region of Bauru, the objective is to identify and analyze the synergies and antagonisms between these systems in order to formulate recommendations to increase your results sets.
