The aging is one of the stages of the lifecycle, defined by a set of morphophysiological, biochemical and psychological. The aging population is a phenomenon that occurs both in developed and in developing, projecting into the year 2050, two billion people aged 60 years or more worldwide, and each year are incorporated into population, 650 000 elderly. The quality of life has been a constant concern of the human being, being a personal commitment to a healthy life without separation of aspects such as health, education, housing, leisure, transport, freedom, work, self-esteem among other factors. Successful aging is accompanied by quality of life and well-being, leaving aside the individual past experiences. Health education is understood by the combination of learning experiences outlined in aim to facilitate voluntary actions conducive to health. It is a dynamic process, empowers individuals with the aim of improving the health of the population. Offer time for reflection and action, allowing a conscious learning for the population, stimulating experience to perform actions that enable a better quality of life. Considering these aspects, the objective of this work is to develop an education program focusing on health promotion and health aspects related to general and speech therapy, aimed at the elderly, their families and caregivers. This study will be conducted in the city of Bauru / SP, on the Unidade de Saúde da Família (USF), on Santa Edwiges and Nove de Julho Street. This study will use the 111 elderly who participated in a survey previously conducted where questionnaires were applied to the quality of life, socioeconomic survey and survey on the general health and speech therapy aspects. The Health Education program will be developed considering the changes of general health and speech therapy from the results of these questionnaires.
