Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of cleaning methods of root canal sealers on dentin intracoronary adhesive bond strength. The pulp tissue will be removed and the mouth of the root canal will be sealed with a temporary restorative material. Twenty crowns of bovine incisors will be sectioned to expose the pulp chamber. Subsequently, the endodontic sealer Endomethasone N, newly tooled is placed in the pulp chamber. After 5 minutes, the specimens will be divided into four groups, according to the clean method of pulp chamber dentin used: G1, no root canal sealer (control); G2, 0.9% sodium chloride (NaCl); G3, ethanol; G4, NaCl followed by the drill. After cleaning, there will the drying of the pulp chamber and the teeth will be restored with a self-etching adhesive system Clearfil SE Bond and a Filtek Z250 composite resin. All specimens will be sectioned to produce rectangular sticks and the dentin/resin interface will be submitted to micro tensile bond testing in a universal testing machine (EZ Test, Shimadzu Co., Kyoto, Japão). Later there will be the analysis of the fracture of the samples and the values of bond strength will be analyzed statistically.(AU)
