This project aims at organizing and studying the Series Correspondence of Odette de Barros Mott (1913-1998), which belongs to the personal collection of the writer from Sao Paulo, and is preserved at the Institute for Brazilian Studies of the University of Sao Paulo. The research intends to especially focus on the letters from Odette Mott`s readers, investigating the importance of this correspondence for the writer`s literary creation and seeking a deeper knowledge of the reading perspectives of her interlocutors. The careful study of this collection of letters, to be compared with those addressed to other writers, shall contribute to widen the perception of the role of readers’ letters in the literary field, more specifically of the correspondence with authors of children`s literature in Brazil.
