Abstract

The research project aims to consider the esterologia, morphometry and the receptors expression for growth factors VEGF and PlGF (VEGFR-1/Flt-1 and VEGFR-2/KDR) in the corioalantoideana membrane in mares, whit the aim to correlate variables response. The study will be conducted through the monitoring fifty mares deliveries of Thoroughbred race on a horse farm in the city of Bage - Rio Grande do Sul during the calving season of 2012 and 2013. Three fragments will be collected from different locations of the placenta (the uterus, and uterine pregnant horn uterine contralateral horn) to be fixed to stereological and immunohistochemical analysis. The results of microcotiledonary density and morphometry of the different placenta regions and the receptors presence for growth factors will be correlated with maternal variables (such as weight, height, age and reproductive history), parental variables (such as age, weight, height and thoracic perimeter) with neonatal variables such as weight, height and completely Apgar of foals.
