Abstract

Since the ratification of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), it is discussed the need of articulating the social services for serving the infant and juvenile populations, intending to enhance the work, to increase the effectiveness of the performances, and to create collective spaces for discussions regarding the problems found. Thus, public managers search the creation of strategies for supporting intersectorial services networks under their coordination. In this context, the municipality of São Carlos (SP), mid-sized city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, has created the ReCriAd: Network of Children and Teenagers, supported by an external entity, which seeks to support the construction of a collaborative network, integrated and articulated, between services and professionals of different sectors (social assistance, education, culture, health, among others), who work with children, teenagers and young people. It is proposed to investigate such experience intending to assess which actions are performed and their effectiveness, as well as seeking to discuss about social policies and intersectoriality in the interventions with children, teenagers and young people. In order to do so, there will be performed semi-structured interviews with managers and technicians included in this process. Additionally, there will be used the participant observation of the meeting processes realized intending to support networking actions. It is expected to meet the opinions of the different actors regarding the networking performance seeking to discuss such strategy as a way of management of the social policy for the infant-juvenile population.
