The main objective of our project is to evaluate the theoretical conditions by witch the problem of emancipation happens in the field of contemporany education. In order to undestand this problem we will use T. W. Adorno's thoughts as our study basis. In special his theory of PEDAGOGIA DO ESCLARECIMENTO EM EDUCACAO E EMANCIPACAO (1995). The hipothesis is that "pedagogia do esclarecimento" is the tool that will activate our education as an formation experience (bildung) for the resistence and contradiction of the failure of contemporany culture. The failure of contemporany culture promotes certain kinds of formation that makes individuals smaller, reducing their potentials to adaptative patterns of society. Even if it has a price to barbarize the human condition. The relevance of this project is to demonstrate tha emancipation is an urgente and important theme to discuss and think about the means and strategies of education in our contemporany culture. It also will question what we are doing with the current condition of being human.
