Abstract

The need for effective and reliable quality control in final products and/or raw materials from pharmaceutical, agrochemical and food industries makes the analyses of its actives and constituents very important to manufacturers as well as to users of these products.For this purpose standard methods such as pharmacopoeia and from governmental agencies are used. Among these methods are the chromatographic and spectroscopic such as UV Visible and infrared. However nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), which is an important qualitative analytical tool is rarely used in quantitative measurements.Therefore, to increase the use of quantitative NMR (qNMR) it is necessary to validate of NMR methodologies, to be recognized by regulatory agencies, such as ANVISA, IBAMA, INMETRO and MAPA. In this context, the "Resolução RE nº 899 - Guia para Validação de Métodos Analíticos e Bioanalíticos" requirements must be attended, when considered the analysis of drugs and olive oils, and for the agrochemical analyses should be attended the parameters on normative "NBR 14029 - Agrotóxicos e afins: Validação de Métodos Analíticos". While new methods for seed analysis should be compared with reference methods, which are standardized, and to agree with the "Regras para Análise de Sementes".Therefore, the objective of the project is to validate the NMR methodologies for drugs, agrochemical and olive oils, attending the requirements the Brazilian regulatory agencies.
