Abstract

This work has as main the study of the influence of temperature, UV radiation, salt spray and the moisture on the mechanical and viscoelastic behavior of the polyamide 6.6/ carbon fiber thermoplastic laminates. In order to reach this objective, first of all the laminate will be laminate by using hot compression molding, by using the knowed processing variables and, from this laminate, specimens will be submmited to hygrothermal, UV, salt spray and thermal shock conditionnings. In a second step, the effect from these conditionnings will be evaluated by optical microscopy; ultrasound, DMTA and vibrational analyses. This project will be done at Departamento de Materiais e Tecnologya from UNESP, campus of Guaratinguetá, where all the equipments and techniques are available. Depending on the evolution of this research project, if this one is approved, will be send an prorrogation proposal in order to evaluate another processing conditions. From the obtained results, will be send an manuscript in order to be published in the Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials.
