Abstract

Currently being researched the application of substances capable remineralizing dentin, where according to published reports, the phosphoproteins, casein phosphopeptides, and amorphous calcium phosphate among others, have a capacity remineralizing dentin, where they promote the replacement of calcium phosphatewithin the collagen fibrils present in dentin. This study will evaluate the bond strength to dentin affected by caries by substances after treatment with remineralizing capacity, the fracture mode and the interface bonding to dentin affected and remineralized. The sample consists of 96 permanent molars, caries-free, stored in 0.9% sodium chloride containing 0.02% sodium azide at 4 ° C for up to 1 month. The teeth are washed with saline containing 10% sucrose. The dentinal surfaces are polished with silicon carbide sandpaper moistened 600. The samples will be sealed with epoxy resin and nail varnish. The teeth are sterilized by gamma rays and placed in sterile test tubes with a means of survival Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) supplemented with yeast extract 0.5% glucose and 1% sucrose. The standard strain of Streptococcus mutans in the standard range of 0.5 MacFarland will be introduced in BHI. The samples are incubated at 37 ° C for 14 days in jars containing anaerobic generators envelopes and stored in a bacteriological incubator. During the course of 14 days, the means of survival BHI will be renewed for 2 in 2 days. Always in every exchange of the BHI will be held the measurement of pH to critical (below 5.5). The teeth will be sectioned in 1000 Isomet metallographic cutter (Buehler) with blade, perpendicular to the long axis of the tooth, near the occlusal surface. The remaining fragment crown will be worn until the removal of all the enamel of the occlusal surface, using polishing machine with the use of water-grained sandpaper to 220 and 600.The roots of the teeth are sealed, sterile samples of gamma rays, subject to decay by Streptococcus mutans biofilm and distributed randomly (draw) in 12 experimental groups (n = 8). After removal of decayed tissue will be submitted to the dentin bonding procedure with the selected adhesive systems. Then, a composite block will be built on the dentin. Sets tooth / restoration will be immersed in water for 24 hours and then sectioned perpendicular to the bonded interfaces to obtain sticks with an area of approximately 1 mm2. The sites of fracture are evaluated by MEV and classified as adhesive failure, cohesive and mixed. Also the interface is evaluated dentin / resin MEV observed the presence of hybrid layer and resin extensions. The data obtained in the bond strength will be submitted to ANOVA and Tukey's test and the data obtained from the analysis of failures and bonded interfaces, the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whtney (p <0.05).
