Abstract

The proposed research aims to investigate the therapeutic process in children after cochlear implant's surgery or hearing AID's adaptation in São Paulo analyzing the differents services which realize speech pathology therapy, specifically auditory rehabilitation and describing the attending population; evaluate the characteristics of rehabilitation profissionals of these services; analyze the quality of the auditory reabilitation services from the perspective of the audiologist. It is a prospective cross-sectional survey which will be held in the USP/Bauru. The study will be divided in three stages according to the principles of this research. For this will be used several sources of government websites, as CNES DATASUS's websites, among others, and if necessary will be realized open presencial interview to complement of the informations. This search is for the identification of hearing health services credentialed as medium and high complexity, and cochlear implant, as well as reabilitation services registered by the number 107/003 (speech therapy for hearing impaired) which included professionls who not included in the centers certified by SUS. The procedures used will be questionnaires with graduated scales already avaiable in the national literature. These informations will be stored and analyzed respecting the conditions determined by the results, characteristics and behavior of the study variables. The development of this research will contribute to the improvement of implatation of auditory health care network, checking which are the processes that are or are not contemplated in the reabilitation of hearing impaired children.
