Abstract

In the practice of psychoanalysis in the context of public service through multiple social ties, the psychoanalyst is faced with other discourses that underpin different practices in the Field of Mental Health. The Clinic of Urgency is characterized by immediate attending, in the Emergency Room (ER), patients at imminent risk of life. The E.R. is one of the entrances to the hospital; initially, with the role of diagnosis and treatment of patients injured or affected of sudden ill, this space has to absorb all the physical and social problems, becoming the main gateway to services. The manner in which the user's demand presents itself can be understood as the expression of these needs from the services offered. Of great importance is the paucity of a psychological shift driven by the psychoanalytic approach, proposing to offer the individual the opportunity to be heard and accepted by an analytical listening, so that thus the subject, experiencing suffering, whether order mental or physical, can find meaning, involving it is a subjective experience about the impasses that are experiencing at the same moment it is accepted by the medical team. This practice is also intended to give some support to professionals working in the ER if they request. It is intended to continue a practice initiated in the previous year, based on the Clinic of Urgency, within a unit of General Hospital Emergency Room, expanding the possibilities of "clinical intension" advocated by the Psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan. Structuring better the action, logging, and critical construction, this project will attempt to show the relevance of the presence of psychologists guarded by psychoanalysis at the Emergency Room as a public policy of the SUS.
