Abstract

This project aims to study the main characteristics of the expansion of criminal law as well as the alternatives offered by the authors Winfried Hassemer and Jesús Maria Silva Sánchez. We shall contrast these two different sets of solutions introduced in the debate of European criminal law with the alternatives put forward by the Brazilian legislator, namely the introduction of sanctioning administrative law and the strengthening of regulatory agencies. The study shall take place under de advisement of Professor Jesús Maria Silva Sánchez, a world-renowned expert on this theme. (AU)
