Abstract

The oxidative stress cause the lipid peroxidation that cause damage in the membrane and triggers signal cascades inducing apoptosis. The aim of this project is study the role of lipid hydroperoxide and the lipid raft formation. The studies will be performed in binary and ternary mixtures of lipids in presence of oxidized lipids. The informations about domain formation and membrane properties, as area increase, permeability and elasticity will help us to understand the role of lipid hidroperoxide in the photosensitization mechanisms.
