Initially, this project aims to analyze the female character in some short-stories of the Italian writer Alberto Moravia. According to the research corpus, the analysis of these characters will be made through the following stories: "L'orgia", "Venduta and comprata", "Portacenere", "La cosa più terribile della vita", "Temporale e Fulmine" and "Parlare per Vivere". After a detailed and individual analysis of the short-stories, we will make a comparative analysis in order to establish the possible relationships among these narratives. We aim to highlight the relationship between the possible points of contact in these stories; in order to have subsidies for a reflection on the female character portrayed by Moravia throughout his short narrative. Therefore, we will also use the theoretical resources available, such as Sociological Criticism - for the analysis of the characters - and Structuralism - for the analysis of the short stories narrators.
