Abstract

History shows that childcare practices are carried out from the reflections that society makes about the role of childhood. In this sense we should consider this relationship in indigenous societies, since in them the children have their childhood with distinctive characteristics of Western society. Thus, this project aims to understand how care practices are shaped by the concept of childhood in society Guarani Mbyá. To this end, the ethnographic method will use in a guarani village of Rio Grande do Sul, using participant observation with making field diaries, photographs and drawings developed by children guarani.
