Abstract

The creation and popularization of the Internet have led to serious changes in the communication fields. Specifically in scientific communication, the use of electronic media allows you to streamline the steps of the editorial process, and facilitate the creation, dissemination, research and use of scientific information. However, the incorporation of technology is also challenging because it requires several changes in the management model of scientific journals, which is basically composed of scientific, financial and administrative aspects, which together aim to achieve greater impact of the journals in the academic mean. This research intends to evaluate to what extent the editorial management model of scientific journals (specifically in the administration field) influences the impact of the publication. The study will mainly use methods of desk research, interview and bibliometric analysis to identify the context, describe the editorial management models and calculate the impact of journals selected for the study.
