An experiment is conducted in the poultry sector of the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", in FMVZ / Botucatu, in order to evaluate the effect of glutamine, glutamic acid and association of glutamine and glutamic acid (aminogut) in diets for broilers on the morphology of the enteric mucosa and counting the number of enterocytes and goblet cells, and animal performance. 340 will be housed chicks one day old, male, distributed in a completely randomized design with four treatments and five replicates of 17 birds each. The treatments are: 1 - Basal Ration (without adding any additives), 2 - basal ration with 1.0% glutamine, 3 - basal ration with 1.0% glutamic acid, 4 - basal ration with 2.0% of aminogut (product with a combination of glutamine and glutamic acid. At 42 days of age, 60 birds will be slaughtered to collect material to be evaluated. Later will be removed throughout the gastrointestinal tract of birds, which will be emptied and identified the small intestines , thick and cecum. segments will be weighed with the aid of semi-analytical balance and measured with a tape measure. For morphometric analysis will be collected segments of the epithelium of the duodenum, jejunum and ileum, five birds per treatment, which will be opened and washed with distilled water and fixed in buffered formalin 10% for 24 hours. Then, the segments will be subjected to routine histological procedures and stained with Masson trichrome and evaluations will be performed using the optical microscope. will performed 10 measurements for each studied section, totaling 600 measurements. will then be made to count the number of goblet cells and enterocytes in 10 different fields of different treatments, totaling 600 counts. At the end of each stage of creation, the data will be evaluated performance (weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion and viability). Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the performance and morphology of the enteric mucosa, as well as check the population of goblet cells and enterocytes in the intestines of chickens cutting when it is supplemented with glutamine, glutamic acid and aminogut.
