Abstract

This research has as its object of study, architectural designs, buildings, history and cultural and recreational activities of cinemas, theaters, clubs, associations, recreational halls, arising directly or indirectly by urban growth generated by the deployment of railroads, especially CEFNOB in the city of Bauru / SP, until the late '50s, when the railroad had the first signs of decline, as the city center and its activities, recreation and culture. The period of interest are the years 1935 to 1960, and from the architecture of these spaces for recreation and culture you can find a search of modernity, art and aesthetics in the period. (AU)
