Abstract

Amid the territorial dispute over land ownership in Pontal do Paranapanema come to the fore the issue of food production and the difficulties that still face the peasants to produce and market foods that make up the basket of the working class? In this scenario, we are realizing that the state and society are enhancing the consolidation/implementation of commodity production at the expense of decreased production of foods that meet the real needs of the working class. We assume that the expansion of agribusiness in Depth legitimate legal disputes with land, vacant and abandoned pastures in dispute with the family farming model that prioritizes food production. Pontal does Paranapanema in the sea of sugarcane advances in the land that could be used for diversified food production, as occurs in the settlements. However, they are created without strong policies that meet the real needs of the settlers hindering the production and marketing of food. At this juncture, we are proposing to analyze the acceptance of the settlers and the consequences of the Food Purchase Program (EAP) in Pontal do Paranapanema. To this end, we hope to understand the subordination of peasants to the EAP, point out and discuss the difficulties faced by farmers who produce food for the consumption of the working class. Also, discuss the production and demand for food in the Pontal do Paranapanema.(AU)
