Abstract

In most cases, the reality of body of water margins in brazilian cities is characterized by degradation, due to the irregular occupation of homes, streets and avenues or other urban elements that waterproof the adjacent grounds, causing damage to the population itself and to the environment. This research aims to study the urban morphology of valley bottom areas of Córrego do Veado in Presidente Prudente, in order to identify the several types of existing urban type, as well as to verify the way that Permanent Preservation Areas are occupied. The work is justified by the contribution to the discussion and planning of the occupation model from these areas in brazilian cities as well as alternatives for future interventions in areas not occupied yet. From the study of the city growth, its plan and subdivision, the type of buildings and the connection between them, we intend to produce as final results, thematic maps, photographic survey, sketches and croquis on the study area.
