Abstract

This research work aims the investigation - by research, collection, selection and spread of assets and movable property - of the historical and architectural field of spaces for recreation and culture (cinemas, theaters, clubs, associations, recreational halls) emerged during the construction of the city of Bauru/SP, linked to the history of the Northwest Railroad of Brazil (Estrada de Ferro Noroeste do Brasil - EFNOB), and provide material to the society aiming it to identifies itself as the agent builder of this history and contribute to its recovery and preservation. The years that interest us are the years 1906 to 1935, looking for confirmation of the periods of the buildings, the techniques used, and its aesthetics. This project of Undergraduate Research is linked to the project "EFNOB, Bauru - Km 0", Edital FAPESP/CONDEPHAAT N° 9/2011, Processo Nº 11/51014-6 e Processo CONDEPHAAT Nº 12/50041-2, inserted in specific subject "spaces and activities for recreation and culture" by Prof Paulo Roberto Masseran, Ph.D. (AU)
