This research proposes a connection between the teaching of mathematics in the classroom and Mathematical Modeling, since the use of this tool can provide a comprehensive training process more than the simple "traditional" transmission of knowledge of concepts and formulas, based on the triad "theory, example and exercises." It is suggested that this connection with other job opportunities arising within the room that focus on the contextualization of mathematics teaching. From this perspective, mathematical modeling should promote the building of a learning environment where students can perform simulations and analogies, because the same model can represent different situations, helping them in the construction of mathematical concepts and the identification and application of these concepts known in other areas.
