Abstract

Giving sequence to the goals of the main project - i.e. to offer an introductory study of Convivio, by Dante Alighieri, investigate its reception in the Brazilian culture and present a noted translation of this work - the research phase in Italy aims at making use of the vast critics on Dante Alighieri's work available in this country, as well as attending courses and seminars given by specialists in Italian Phylology. Thus, it is expected to make up for the little bibliography available in Brazil, to mature the phylological analysis of the so debated text of Convivio and, since it involves a long-breath translation, to enrich the researcher with a linguistic update in the country where the work was written. Besides that, due to the relatively short geographical distance between Italy and Portugal, a visit to the Portuguese files is planned, considering that for centuries the Brazilian capital and its main documents were in that country.
