Abstract

The agricultural areas of grains and livestock are excelling, especially in the Cerrado by increasing technological and especially the aspect of combining a system that completes itself together farming and ranching, called Crop-Livestock Integration (ILP), with the possibility of two simultaneous activities, for-profit, and sustainability of the agricultural system with the possibility of raising the productivity of production systems, with beneficial effects on physical, chemical and biological soil properties, becoming thus a reality in current research and extension, based production consortium of grain crops, especially corn with tropical forages grasses, especially those of the genera Panicum and Brachiaria in both the no-tillage system (SPD) as the standard. Thus, the research work will be installed in the area of Oxisol belonging to the Faculty of Engineering / UNESP, Ilha Solteira state of São Paulo - Brazil, located in Selvíria-MS, under irrigated conditions in the Cerrado. The experiment will consist of the consortium of corn, with species of the genus Panicum (Panicum maximum cv. Tanzania) and Brachiaria (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Xaraés) system in Crop-Livestock Integration in two-row spacings (0.90 and 0.45 m) and three times of harvest, for the purpose of silage or grain. Thus, the work will aim to assess: 1) The performance and quality of silages produced in different production systems evaluated, as well as to the evaluation of the components of the production and yield of maize intercropped in different spacing and the remaining forage, 2) evaluate after harvesting silage, changes in chemical properties and soil bulk density in the 0 to 0.10 and 0.10 to 0.20 m, in addition to determining the carbon stock, and 3) evaluate the economic performance of production systems silage and/or grain in order to verify the sustainability and profitability of each system.(AU)
