Abstract

To problematize the process of adolescence production as object of investigation and intervention at the scenarios of mental health's politics and practices in Brazil was the scope of this dissertation. This is because we considerate that the current scenario of teenager behavior's pathologization is a derivative of a history production of practices, discursives and non-discursives, linked to the consolidation of technologies and strategies to control the human development and behavior. Therefore, to realizes that proposal, we considerate a critical notion of history which doesn't approach the past from a linear conception of time - a conception which assert the present as a result of a linear development, progressive and pre-determinate by this or that preterite event. Thus, oriented by Michel Foucault's philosophy, we use the archeo-genealogy perspective as a tool for a critical problematization of the present and the history from an analysis which, without pretensions of affirm essences and universalities, focuses on the historical, political and socials engendered involved in the productions and practices of medicine, psychology, psychiatry and justice about the adolescence. For that, we worked with documents as laws, ordinances, decrees, manuals, booklets, reports and divulge materials which compose the different proposals of mental health attention in Brazil. We propose, yet, to affirm the Psychosocial Attention paradigm as resistence strategy to the affirmation practices of care and attention to adolescence which consider mental health as a complex social process. In that sense, this dissertation aimed less to presents answer that fortify the questions about the hegemony practices and discourses on mental health care.
